Anyone over the age of 12 with brown spots, dark shading, sun damage, acne discoloration scars, pregnancy mask, hyper-pigmentation. Q. Why do I need sun block and exfoliant? A. The sun is what causes discoloration of the skin. Even when the discolorations are from "hormones" "medications", "pregnancy" etc... the sun exposure you got while you were on the birth control pill, pregnant, or taking medications is what caused the discolorations. So, you need a sun block to stop the discolorations from getting larger and darker. Then, you will need to protect your newly lightened skin from discoloration coming back again. An exfoliant is absolutely necessary during lightening processes because dead skin cells "block" the lightening product from penetrating your skin! Your skin cells die every 4 hours! Can you imagine all the dead skin cells you might have built up if you never exfoliate? Remember, skin care products cannot penetrate through dead skin cells. Q.
